jml Insurance will now be introducing Homelet Landlord & Tenant insurance instead of Letsure

Summary: As a result of Erinaceous Insurance Services Ltd the owners of HomeLet rental insurance purchasing Letsure in 2007, you can no longer buy Letsure on line, but HomeLet rental insurance instead via jml insurance

Since July 2002 jml Insurance has been introducing Landlords and Tenants to Letsure insurance in the UK. Later that year they also started to introduce HomeLet products as well. HomeLet were Letsure's main competitor in the UK although other specialist companies like Endsleigh soon became involved as well with the growing number of Landlords and Tenants with the Buy to Let market.

Philip Suter of jml Insurance recalls when he first became a letting agent in the early 1980's that the various insurance providers put a lot of restrictions on people letting out property. Philip said "It was practically impossible to take out a Landlords legal protection policy; however Thomas Winter Insurance introduced Homesure and later re-branded this as Letsure and was administered by Winter Richmund Ltd"

In March 2007 the owners of HomeLet insurance Erinaceous Insurance Services Ltd, purchased Lumley Letsure. One year on, although Letsure continues to be a major player in the Tenant referencing business, their online insurance sales are being re-directed to Homelet. jml-insurance / jml Property Services are HomeLet Premier Agents.

Philip Suter went on to say "HomeLet offers a great selection of products for Landlords and Tenants - For Tenants contents insurance policies that are portable, so if the tenant moves the policy can move as well. For Landlords they offer Low Cost Buildings insurance, Rent Guarantee and Legal Expenses cover , Emergency Assistance cover, Comprehensive Buildings Insurance, Full Contents and limited contents insurance and for the owners of two or more properties Portfolio Insurance."

HomeLet is not the only rental property insurance being introduced at jml-insurance.co.uk Landlords and Tenants can also use Endslegh who offer a rent guarantee policy for Landlords and contents insurance for Tenants and Landlords and Home Emergency and Extended un-occupancy cover for buildings/ contents for periods of up to 120 days
