New
appointments to PropertyRisks team

PropertyRisks
is delighted to announce that Tim Wakelin has joined the company
in an advisory and development capacity.
PropertyRisks
offer risk management solutions, tenant referencing services
and specialist insurance products to the residential lettings
market. The appointment comes at a key time for the company,
with changes in the industry creating a wealth of interest
and opportunity.
Tim’s
role will involve promoting the benefits of working with PropertyRisks
to selective communities. He will assist in creating and developing
relationships throughout the industry and contribute to the
future growth of the company through strategic and advisory
input.
Tim
has been involved in the residential property and related
insurance sectors for over 20 years, with a background in
both independent and corporately owned estate and lettings
agents. He is a Fellow of the National Association of Estate
Agents and holds the Certificate in Residential Letting and
Management. As a former Director of Letsure, Tim has worked
closely with a variety of companies throughout the UK and
been a regular speaker on risk management at industry conferences.
He has also written and contributed to numerous articles which
have appeared in the trade and national press.
Commenting
on his new position, Tim stated: "I think that the letting
industry needs a risk management provider that puts the client
first and gets back to basics, providing unparalleled levels
of customer service and new innovative products, I am therefore

Miles
Ritchie, Managing Director of PropertyRisks remarked on the
appointment: "I am thrilled that Tim is joining PropertyRisks.
With his experience and intrinsic knowledge of the property
sector, particularly in the residential lettings market, I
know he will add value to our agent propositions and to PropertyRisks."
In
addition to his role with PropertyRisks, Tim is also a director
of Inventories Inc and provides training and consultancy services
throughout the industry.
PropertyRisks
looks to grow following appointment
PropertyRisks,
the specialist provider of let property insurance, has expanded
its team with the appointment of Matthew Clatworthy as agency
and business development manager.
He
joins from Broker Network, where he was senior sales manager,
as PropertyRisks looks to significantly expand its broker
agency base. Having started his insurance career at Lloyd’s
of London, Matthew brings over 18 years of experience of working
with both brokers and insurers to the business.

managing director Miles Ritchie said: “We are delighted to
have been able to attract Matthew to PropertyRisks as we enter
an exciting phase of our development. His brief is to develop
existing relationships and to help take the business forward
by identifying new business opportunities.”

on his appointment, Matthew Clatworthy said: “The UK lettings
market is currently particularly opportune and offers enormous
potential for brokers. It is therefore an excellent time to
be joining a specialist insurance business like PropertyRisks
and I am very much looking forward to playing a part in taking
the business forward.”
PropertyRisks
at ARLA 
On
5th February, the ARLA (Association of Residential Letting
Agents) 2008 conference was held at the Novotel, London West.
PropertyRisks
attended the event as exhibitors. It was a great opportunity
for us to meet with those letting agents with whom we have
a current relationship and also to showcase our products to
the wider letting agent community.
The
Association of Residential Lettings Agents (ARLA) was formed
in 1981 as the professional and regulatory body for letting
agents in the UKARLA has some 2,250 member offices throughout
the UK. The ARLA Conference is useful for members wishing
to keep updated on the latest issues affecting agents and
professionals operating in the private rented sector.
