Performance Film and Media Insurance Expands cover for Unrivalled
Protection
Including
new and exclusive Post-Production Indemnity to protect clients'
media during the post-production process

Reflecting
an in-depth understanding of its target markets, film and
media insurance specialist Performance ( visit
www.performance-insurance.tv) - a scheme operated
by Cadogan Hanover Park and part of the Property & Commercial
Division of Barbon
Insurance Group - is set
to offer unrivalled levels of protection and service following
a series of enhancements and extensions to its cover, including
a completely new and exclusive Post-Production Indemnity.
Believed
to be a first within the film and media insurance industry,
Performance’s innovative Post-Production Indemnity will protect
post-production companies and provide funds for a potentially
costly re-shoot or re-record should they damage clients’ media
during the post-production process.
The
expanded Performance policy now automatically provides protection
for the insured’s own or hired equipment on a worldwide basis;
theft even where there are no signs of forcible or violent
entry or exit; hired equipment regardless of who is using
it; and worldwide business interruption. Most business interruption
insurance will only be implemented following physical loss
of or damage to equipment, but not breakdown. Performance
provides business interruption cover following breakdown as
well as Reinstatement of Data and Virus Seek and Destroy costs.
In
addition, Performance offers a massive no claims bonus of
up to 20 per cent. This applies even where the client has
previously used another insurance provider who did not offer
such a deal. Performance will honour the discount as long
as there hasn’t been a prior incident.
As
part of the revamped cover, Performance also offers Directors’
and Officers’ Liability; Annual Business Travel; Commercial
Legal Protection; and cont…/2 -2- Personal Accident - all
under one umbrella as opposed to additional stand-alone policies.
Andrew Leen, Head of Performance Film and Media Division comments:
“We are delighted to be able to offer this expanded level
of cover.
Not
only is it a complete reflection of our unrivalled knowledge
of the media and film industries and our clients’ insurance
and risk management requirements, but it also gears us for
ambitious future growth.” Performance offers specialist insurance
and risk management solutions to a wide range of clients within
the film and media industries, including film producers, freelancers,
production and post-production companies, equipment hire businesses
and studios.
The
dedicated Performance team offer fast turnaround of quotes
and will help develop policies designed to meet individual
business requirements. Annual or short policies are available
and instant cover provided when necessary.
