In August
2008 jml Insurance launched a Northern
Ireland category for the introduction of UK providers for motor, household
property rental and Ex Offenders products. The
natural progression is to introduce a specialized section for residents of the
Republic of Ireland. They have launched this under irishpropertyinsurance.com
that aims to cover insurance introduction and other allied services in Ireland
that jml Property Services are involved with. Like
in many European countries, Ireland has seen a dramatic down turn in the housing
market, however there is a buoyant rental market for long term letting and holiday

are currently talking to an Irish provider of rental insurance who can provide
similar products to HomeLet and Endsleigh
in Northern Ireland and the rest of the UK. They hope to be able to offer this
product in the very near future. They

2011: Insurers Pay over €220 million in Claims from
December Freeze in Ireland - The Irish Insurance Federation (IIF) today announced
that €224m has been paid to home and business owners as a result of the freeze
that affected the country during December 2010. This was the third severe weather
event to affect the country during a fourteen-month period, which saw the insurance
industry inject over € ¾ bn back into the Irish economy.
